TRITON - Ship Management Solution

The TRITON is a very comprehensive web based software solution for the ship management industry, for all vessel types in general and containerized vessels in particular. This application is comprehensively covers two different flavours in the ship management business. The first one is a complete system at the organization head office accessed by all of the concerned employees of the organization, vessel owners, suppliers, etc. The other version of system is implemented onboard each vessel. The various modules in this application are:   Crew PMS Vessel Performance Purchases Vessel Messages Budget Survey Repairs Dry Dock Safety Data Sync Online Tracking Reports MIS Administration Utilities     Crew   This module covers the crew recruitment, maintaining the crew bank, certificate management, sign on / sign off, appraisal, generation of all relevant documents for sign on, automatic crew planner to find out the suitable crew for a crew to be sign off, safe manning controls, etc.     Preventive Maintenance System (PMS)   This module is used to create and maintain the PMS for each and every vessel, the equipment tree and services associated with them with service period will be build on shore and then transferred onboard vessel. Up on service dues, the system will alert the onboard user and the user can generate work order. The completion of such work order will be entered into the system. These services can be postponed to some other time as well. All these information will be got synchronized to the on shore system.     Vessel Performance   This module is used to maintain the values various engine and motor related reading and generate exception reports to find out the abnormalities. This also deals with the commercial performance of the vessel. Whenever there is an outbound reading of exhaust pressure or temperature or fuel consumption or motor RPM, they will be automatically alerted to the users.     Purchases   All the purchases to onboard of a vessel will be controlled through this module. They can be categorized into spares, store materials, provisions, chemicals, paints, lubricants, etc. The spear parts are controlled by the part numbers and engine SFI codes. The stores and provisions maintain ISSA codes for the items. The module follows all the standard steps of a typical purchase cycle. The purchase requisitions are generated and forwarded by the onboard user. Then this purchase requisition will be approved by the purchase supervisor on shore. Then the quotations will be invited from vendors and manufacturers. The selected prices are updated in the price list of the system and then generate the purchase order by the on shore purchase user. Once the purchase order is dispatched to the selected vendors, the goods will be delivered to the vessels according to the port of delivery mentioned in the purchase orders. Then the ROB will be get updated. The system will be get synchronized mutually between the on shore and onboard systems. Then the purchase invoice and payments will be controlled by the on shore user. Also there an item issue screen to issue out each of the purchased items onboard. The inventory will be maintained accordingly.     Vessel Messages   All the daily messages will be get updated on shore system from the onboard system several times a day. This is enabled thru an emailed based solution which will automatically read the inbox, download the attached data files and update the on shore system. This gives the most up to date information regarding the vessel including latitude/longitude positions, sea condition, weather, etc.     Budget   This module is used to budget the year and monthly expenditure of each and every vessels to be managed. The budget structure is used definable. Once the structure is define, the user can feed the monthly budgeted amounts and the year consolidation will happen automatically. Then the actual expenditures can be automatically posted into the budgets.     Survey   This module manages the survey certifications and their periodic renewal according to expiry dates. The survey can be successful or failure. In case of failure, the resurvey has to be conducted within the stipulated period.     Repairs   This module is used to manage the third party repairs on engine, motors, etc. There an work order generation followed by quotation invitation and work issue. Once the work is finished, the completion details can be entered into the system along with repair invoice. Then the user can manage vendor payments.     Dry Dock   This module is used to manage the dry dock repairs on the vessel. The system maintains the master table of various dry docks and yards in the demographical region of vessel management. Then the user can create customized terms and conditions for each dry dock job according to the nature work. This is followed by the repair details and price tariff at various dry dock. The repair progress can be updated in the system.     Data Sync   The Data Sync is a standalone program which is used to export and import data between on shore and on board systems. This will generate XML based data according to the modification timestamp. Then the data will be emailed to the other end and get updated there. This system is proved to be one hundred percent full proof of duplications of records.     Online Tracking   This module is an online tracker module which will plot the locations of each vessel on Google map. The coordinate position of each vessel location is picked up from the vessel message module which frequently been updated several times a day. The accuracy of the position directly depends up on the frequency of vessel messages per day.     Reports   The system has a very comprehensive set of reports which are attached to each of the above narrated modules as well as a single module altogether. This has reports from simple master listing to very complex drilldown reports. The outputs can be exported into various contemporary file formats like pdf, xls, doc, rtf, xml, etc.    MIS   Besides a detailed list of reports provided as a part of each module, the system provides a very advanced list of information grouped as MIS. This has a lot of analytical reports and statistical graphs that can tell the trend of various parameters of the business. In short, the module provides you some limited business intelligence.     Administration   The administration module is one of the most important modules in this system. This module helps you manage various functional roles, users, login audit, data audit, etc. There is an IP tracking also available to track the location of user access.     Utility   This module provides the user some flexibility in the usage of the system. This has modules like copy setup, advanced search, user password management, application skin management, imail management, flash message, etc.
